Cologne, Germany

In Cologne, the groups of PICTORIC, LAND IN SICHT and null22eins met again

Cologne is known for its carnival and its landmark, the Cologne Cathedral.

How do I, as an artist, make public attention to society’s problems? During a street art tour in Cologne’s Ehrenfeld district, impressive works of urban art by local and international street art artists could be visited. Works by artists such as Captain Borderline explicitly address issues of human rights and the changing environment in the 21st century.

A big topic in the discussions during the project was the rights of journalists and the impact of digitization on public opinion. It was therefore particularly interesting for us to visit the DuMont publishing house in Cologne. The DuMont publishing house is one of the largest publishers of Germany and publishes beside books also newspapers, calendars and offers numerous digital contents.

ПThe project is implemented with the support of the program “MEET UP! German-Ukrainian Youth Meetings “, Foundation “Memory, Responsibility and Future” (EVZ).
